Challenge
This 1920s property was in desperate need of renovation. The clients wanted to extend the house significantly and re-design it throughout, creating a large, elegant, and functional family home that would serve them for years to come.
Concept
The design concept centred around timelessness — using fixtures, fittings, furniture, and finishes that would stand the test of time. Classical pieces were chosen for their enduring elegance, paired with a neutral colour palette that felt calm and sophisticated. Warm wood flooring was introduced to bring character and richness, while simple yet beautiful porcelain stone floors added durability and understated luxury.
The balance of traditional references with modern functionality ensured the home retained a sense of heritage while fully meeting the needs of contemporary family living.
Outcome
The result was a home that feels timeless, understated, and elegant. Every detail was designed with longevity in mind, giving the clients a refined and welcoming space that honours the property’s history while providing comfort, beauty, and practicality for modern life.
